Philip Pender Obituary
He was the beloved husband of Laurie A. (Vigeant) Pender, to whom he was married for 10 years.
He was born in Akron, Ohio, Oct. 7, 1956, beloved son of Philip Warren Pender Sr. of Nashua, and Tomasa (Rosa) Pender of Dracut. He resided in Westford for more than 15 years. Previously, he lived in Lowell.
Prior to his illness, Mr. Pender was the vice president of sales and marketing for 13 years at Bedrock Amplification in Framingham.
He was also an avid musician and guitar collector. Also known as the "Guitar Doctor", he was fluent in repairing and servicing guitars of different genres. For many years, Mr. Pender was a guitar player for several local bands in the Greater Lowell area.
He was also an antique car collector.
Besides his parents and wife, he is survived by two sons, Philip Warren Pender III and Kenneth Michael Pender, both of Westford; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Alba Pender of Dracut; eight sisters and four brothers-in-law, Anita Gonzalez, Lillie and Ruben Rodriguez, Kathi and Kevin Moloney, Susan Pender, all of Lowell, Deborah and Ivan Izquierdo of Dracut, Tammy and Eric Herring, Carmen Ramirez, and Luz Nellie Rosa, all of Lowell.
He also leaves a brother-in-law and his wife, Michael and Dana Vigeant of Dracut; his father-in-law and his wife, Edgar and Betty Vigeant, residing in Maine; his mother-in-law, Suzanne Desilets of Londonderry, N.H.; a special nephew, Victor A. Trinidad of Westford; 28 nieces and nephews; 15 grandnieces and grandnephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

I was thinking about Phil the other day as I was looking at an Upwardbound page and decided to try and find him since I haven't seen/talked to him since the early 2000's. I am saddened to read of his passing. Phil was a great kid. I always think of him when ever I play the album Full House by J. Geils. Now it will even have more meaning to me. I guess my wondering/hoping of seeing him at the reunion is gone. I am sorry to his family for their loss. He was a great guy to know.

Sorry Philip I didn't forget about you. I can never do that. It's just that it's been crazy here this coronavirus has this whole world all mixed up. People dying by the thousands. No cure. People out of work. Everything shut down. But I.m sure you already know because it must be getting crowded up there. Hey Phil,
I went by to visit and give you my love. I miss having you here to talk to. It was a tough 2009 for me but, I made it through the year. Ma was having a hard time with it she kept praying, my heart ached everytime I talked to her because she would always tell me that she was praying for me. I knew what was going through her mind which made it more painfull but, enough about me. Your boys are getting big and handsome. Philip is a spitting image of you, man can he talk. Kenny looks like Laurie. Oh did I mention SMART. Last summer I had a camp out at my house tents were every where with kids in them. They had a great time everyone sat around the fire playing games. I look forward to the next one. I miss you Big Brother, I Love you and will always keep you in my heart.

It's me Pye! Sorry I couldn't be there when you took your last breath. We both know it's something I will never forget... I dreamed the night you passed and I somehow knew you were gone. Sitting there in my prison cell staring at the walls, my mind was flooded with memories of you!
At least God somehow made it happen so I was able to see you before you left us and I'm thankfull for that. He truly is a merciful God!

Hey unlce phil. I hope you somehow get this message. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you. And Im not just saying that, I really mean it.
Chilly somehow found a video of you on youtube and told me about it today. So I watched it and decided to look you up on google. I found harzardous waste's page. You guys were awsome!
I'll never forget the day you passed. I was the only kid there when you took your last breathe. My mom couldn't bring my dad because he was at home watching Kenny and Philip at my house because you guys didnt want them around when it happened. So I asked her if I could come with her. I remember we had the baby monitor hooked up so we could hear you from the living room. When things got loud we all went upstairs. I was the last one in the room and just as I walked in I saw and heard your last breathe. Man that's something that will never leave me. I was only 13 at the time.
Now Im playing music and lovin music. Im learnin guitar. It doesn't come as natural to me as piano but I'll get it because it's in my blood. Im learnin bass guitar on an epiphone Les Paul that I found in your attic. Laurie was kind enough to give it to me. Pie is living with us now and he's teaching me little things here and there. Like you did to him.
Someday I want to learn how to put guitars together and then eventually collect them like you did. I look at pictures of all different types everyday hoping that someday I'll have some just like them.
If I become a small fraction of the musician you were, I'll be extremely pleased with myself.
So Im just up right now thinking of you like always. We all love you and miss you so much. Again like I said, I really hope this gets to you somehow.

Hi Phil - I visited you the other day and was not surprised at all to see I wasn't the only one. There I was, alone at first and then I see Bob and then Buck and 2 of your other good freinds arrive to see you as well. We all talked about how much we miss you. I'm so sorry to hear of Phil's illness and recent passing, but I'm glad he is finally at peace now. If I had found out in time, I would have been at his memorial to pay my respects and to show my support for his good family who had shown me so much kindness a very long time ago.
