Rachel DiStasio Obituary

Rachel J. DiStasio lived in Billerica for five decades; 83 BILLERICA Rachel J. (Bievienue) DiStasio, age 83, wife of the late Joseph M. DiStasio, died Wednesday, at her home. She was born in York, Maine, January 29, 1924, daughter of the late George and Florence (Fitzgerald) Bievienue. She lived in Cambridge before moving to Billerica in 1953. Mrs. DiStasio was employed as a meat packer for Foodbrands America in Boston for many years, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW Solomon Post in Billerica. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Francis and Nina Pelrine of FL; two daughters and a son-in-law, Carol O'Day and the late William O'Day of Litchfield, NH, and Elaine and Robert Totton of Hudson, NH; one sister, Louise Zbinski and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. DISTASIO Of Billerica, formerly of Cambridge, Jan. 16, Rachel J. (Bienvienue) DiStasio, wife of the late Joseph J. DiStasio. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472. Arrangements under the care of the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, Billerica.
