I just heard about Uncle Ralph's passing. I don't know if anyone will see this or not, given the inexcusable tardiness of my response.

Aunt Jane, I am so sorry. Other than my parents, no one had a greater influence on me in my youth than you and Uncle Ralph. I will always remember his gentleness and quiet humor. He always took the time talk with me, treating me like a friend and not a boy. I'll never forget the stories. His voice will be with me for the rest of my life. He is one of the singular men I have met in my life.

I will pray for his repose, and please know that my prayers are with you and Con as well.

Mr. Hinckley,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrfice for our Country when you served during WW II and the Korean War and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. God knows what you had to endure as a Prisoner Of War.
