Richard J. Bellemare

Richard J. Bellemare, age 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2018, at Mary Immaculate Nursing & Restorative Center in Lawrence. Born in Lowell on February 16, 1932, to the late Joseph and Blanche (Beliveau) Bellemare. He was one of ten children; raised and educated in Lowell. Prior to his retirement, Richard worked as a Group Leader employed for 34 years by the Raytheon Company. He enjoyed softball, playing on several softball leagues, fishing, listening to country music and singing every day. He was a self-taught musician playing guitar and harmonica.

Richard was the husband of the late Jeannine G. (Bedford) Bellemare and current husband of Georgette Bellemare of Pelham, NH. In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his son, Marc Bellemare and wife Wendy of Houston, TX; his daughter, Michelle Bellemare of North Andover; three grandchildren, Christine, Jacqueline, and Riley; two great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Anita Plamondon, Aline Drouin, Evelyn Mercier, Pauline Sutphen and many nieces and nephews.

BELLEMARE - Relatives and friends are invited to attend Richard's Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Wednesday, December 5, 10:00 am, at St. Michael Church in Lowell. Burial in St.Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Richard's memory to the Alzheimer's Unit at the Mary Immaculate Nursing & Restorative Center, 172 Lawrence Street, Lawrence, MA 01841.
