Robert Colburn Obituary

Robert W. Colburn of Billerica, 69 Billerica Robert W. Colburn, age 69, husband of Mary J. (O'Mahony) Colburn died Sunday at the West Roxbury VA Hospital. He was born in Templeton, January 21, 1939, son of the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Mein) Colburn and lived in Ayer, Pepperell and Carlisle before recently moving to Billerica. Mr. Colburn served in the Marine Corps. during the Vietnam War. He worked at the Bedford VA Hospital, Hanscom Air Force Base and GAC Painting prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks. Besides his wife, Mr. Colburn is survived by his four sons, Patrick Colburn of Groton, Robert Colburn of Pepperell, Randy Colburn of Brookline, NH and Richard Colburn of NJ; three daughters, Kelly Domina of Groton, Colleen Colburn of Billerica and Eva Bent of Brookline, NH; six brothers, Walter and Ronald Colburn of FL, Albert Colburn of Groton, Russell and Kenneth Colburn of Ayer and Richard Colburn of CA; four sisters, Dorothy Kangas of FL, Marion Swinger of Shirley, Janet Mullan of Ayer and Paula Cormier of Nashua. Also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great grandson. COLBURN Of Billerica, Sept. 14, Robert W. Colburn husband of Mary J. (O'Mahony) Colburn. Funeral Thursday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Anne's Episcopal Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Voluntary Services, SCI Nursing Education, 1400 VFW Parkway, W. Roxbury, MA 02132 or the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Rd., Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. Funeral Directors W. J. and Dean M. Laurendeau.
