Charlie, Missy, & Gail,
I just came across this guest book on-line. It's now been a few weeks since Roger's passing, yet I still felt compelled to write something. Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity or the privilege to get to know him as well as I would have liked, but hearing all of the memories and stories over the last few weeks, meeting all of your lovely family and friends, and reading the entries in his guestbook, have yet again proven to me what I already knew was true...what a truly wonderful and amazing man he was and will continue to remain in our minds and in our hearts. I feel truly blessed and honored to have met him, if only a few times. He truly did impact my life, as he did so many others. May he rest in peace forever and may his memory remain alive always! He will be missed...

To Roger's family and, especially, to Gail... What a shock to see his name in the company's People section and, what a flood of memories of my first days at MITRE! He was and still remains one of the best group leaders and people that ever graced work. God bless, its an emptier world without him.

One of the first things we heard when we decided to buy our house was that our neighbor had a big tomato garden every year-in fact, there were tomatoes ready to be picked then, and he wouldn't mind sharing. :-) That was 4 years ago. In that time, my boys (and i) have watched Roger tend to that garden every year. The boys would ask him questions constantly- and he answered the same ones, over and over and over again. The boys loved to watch him on his mower and couldn't resist running to say hi when was outside. Mike and I will miss him, as will my boys, who loved their 'friend' Roger.

To Roger's family and Gail,
I am shocked and saddened to hear that Roger is no longer with us. He was my first "group leader" at MITRE and his guiding light got me through the first steps working in the company. It is hard to think of a world without Roger. May God be with him.

"The tomatoe man". I love it. Mr. Micol(Rogero). What a great man, who will be so missed. Whether it was fresh tomatoes, an answer to a question no one else could answer or watching him copy 300 pages at a time at his son Charlie's office he was a treat to share time with.

Charlie, may the sorrow and sadness you feel now turn to smiles as time will bring back all the great memories you have.

Charlie and Family,

I pray for God's spirit of Love and Comfort for you and your family.

Dear Roger and Family,
It just won't be the same in the backyard anymore without seeing Roger tending to his tomato's, or cutting the grass, or just seeing him relaxing under the tree. You will be missed by us and many. You were more than a neighbor, you were a true friend. I'll miss working with you on projects around our houses. You were a great fountain of information and good advise - how will we ever go on without you.
You were in so many ways, like a father to me - I looked up to you, admired your ways, and it always amazed me at how you figured things out so logically.
We will miss you dearly, oh so dearly - our hearts ache, but we know you are in a far better place.
Rest easy friend, we Love You and miss you.
Nancy & Wayne & Selene and Kasey - your neighbors FOREVER

Roger - I can't believe that I'm writing you for the last time to say goodby. For people who knew you there's no need to say what a fast and true friend you were. We met in Jr.H.School and went on through H.S. and joined the Army together - with two other great guys. We played cards and burned under the sun on Rockaway Beach and were two quarter owners of that 1936 Chevy. God, you will be missed.
