Sherman Stoloff Obituary
Sherman Samuel Stoloff, father of three, grandfather of six, and great-grandfather of one, passed away on August 17th, 2022 at the age of 86.
Sherm was born in Lowell, Massachusetts and graduated from Lowell High School. He attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania graduating in 1958. Sherm then returned to Lowell to join the family business, New Knit Manufacturing Company, for which he later served as president for over a decade. He was also president of the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce and the New England Knitted Outerwear Association. Sherm was later involved in a number of different businesses throughout Greater Lowell, Greater Boston and Florida in the manufacturing and finance industries.
Sherm loved golfing, fishing, keeping up with Boston sports teams, and watching his grandson's football games. He is survived by three children: Gary Stoloff, Daniel Stoloff and Jane Stoloff Arzt, six grandchildren: Ella Stoloff, Lily Arzt, Sylvie Stoloff, Molly Arzt, Eli Stoloff and Ruby Arzt, and a great-granddaughter, Sybil.
Sherm's radiant smile, caring demeanor and generous heart will be remembered with love.

Sherm was the last of my mother's family who I would see. I took a picture of him the last time that we got together in July which perfectly shows his sense of humor. He had a mask on which he did not need since we were outside, so he quickly moved the mask to the top of his head as a yarmulke! Missing you 'Cuz'.

We lived across from the New Knit on Nottingham Street. My Mother, family, friends and myself for a brief period all worked there. Mom worked there for many years as a drawstringer. The New Knit was a large part of our lives. We all had the pleasure of knowing Sherm and exchanged greetings whenever we saw each other. Condolensces to Sherm's family and friends during this sad time.
