Sorry, I am so late in sending my condolences Steve went to school with us share a job with my husband as a Lowell Police officer, was my daughter first lawyer in a auto accident, never forgot to ask about the family and always had a good word to say we were all blessed to have cross his path, God bless his family, and his Dad.....

Steve Mason was our neighbor in Thornton for many years. Whenever our paths crossed in the shared drive, we enjoyed a nice chat. Gary and I would notice the canoe gone in the morning and figured he'd left early for one of his favorite fishing holes. He'd pass the afternoon quietly reading or watching a game on TV and wind down the day with dinner at the MRT. His quiet presence will be missed here on Hill Top Rd.

To Steve's Family: May the fact that Steve was a "one in a million" man give you consolation in your time of grief. He was a gentleman, a cop's cop, a true friend who generously gave of himself whenever he could and never asked for anything in return. He joins a long list of young Officers who have been taken away all too soon. May God bless his soul. I will include him in my prayers.
