Vaughn Roussell Obituary

Vaughn (O'Neill) Roussell
of Lowell; formerly of Chelmsford; 58

LOWELL -- Vaughn K. (O'Neill) Roussell, 58, of Lowell, and formerly of Chelmsford, died suddenly on December 4, 2013. Vaughn was a loving, caring person with people and pets. She was the beloved daughter of the late Helen O'Neill and the late Eugene O'Neill.

Vaughn was the dear sister of Brian O'Neill of Westford, MA, and Eugene F. O'Neill, Jr. of Kennebunkport, ME. She is survived by her fiancé, Brian Riley of Lowell; and her six nieces: Jacqueline O'Neill Sparling, Elizabeth (O'Neill) Hassler, Kelleigh O'Neill, Tricia O'Neill, Becky O'Neill, Molly Aulson; and by many living cousins.

Vaughn attended Chelmsford High School and Cape Cod Community College where she became a licensed practical nurse. Later in her career, she became one of the first women in Massachusetts to work heavy construction, including highway construction. Vaughn was a union member and was proud of having been one of the few women who worked on the project to expand Route 3 from Burlington to Nashua.

ROUSSELL -- Friends are invited to join the family at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 24, 2014 for a memorial service at the Congregational Church in North Chelmsford, 15 Princeton Street, North Chelmsford, MA.
