William Clement Obituary

William J. Clement of Nashua, NH formerly of Lowell; 80 NASHUA, NH Mr. William J. Clement, Jr. a resident of Nashua, NH formerly of Lowell, died Monday, April 13, 2009 in Nashua, aged 80 years. He was the husband of Marguerite M. (Yarid) Clement, with whom he celebrated fifty-nine years of marriage last February. A United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. Born in Lowell, June 14, 1928, the son of William J. and Elsie (Landry) Clement. He received his early education in the Lowell School system, graduating from Lowell High School with the Class of 1946. In 1951 William enlisted in the United States Army, served in the Korean War, he was the recipient of Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, and the United Nations Service Medal with the Over Seas Service Bar. He was honorably discharged March 16, 1953. Returning from Korea he became associated with B & M Railroad as a mechanic for ten years, and then worked for Raytheon in South Lowell as a machinist for over thirty years, retiring in 1992. William was a member of the Walker Rogers VFW Post 662 where he loved to play cards, especially cribbage. In the good weather he loved to play golf. Besides his loving wife, Marguerite, he is survived by three daughters, Debra Ann Perreault of Chelmsford, Karen Mary Sweeney and her husband Joseph of Albany, NY and Brenda Adele Silva and her husband Bartlett of Lowell; one son Michael E. Clement of Nashua. Eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Six sisters, Madeline Schaeffer, Sheila Lessard, Joan Tourville, Alice Gordon, Patricia Connors all of Lowell, and Pamela Whitney of Londonderry, NH. Many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John Clement. CLEMENT Mr. William J. Clement, Jr. a resident of Nashua, NH died in Nashua, Monday, April 13, 2009 aged 80 years. He was the husband of Marguerite M. (Yarid) Clement. United States Army Veteran of Korean War. There will be no calling hours. Committal prayers Thursday at 9:30 AM at Saint Mary Chapel, St, Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury Friends invited, friends who wish may make Memorial Donations in his name to Veterans Cable Fund, c/o Disabled American Veterans, 108 Gorham St.Chelmsford, MA 01824.
