Allison Jane (Mantei) Mack, 48, passed away on Nov. 7, 2021, after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Allison is survived by her husband of 21 years, Greg; her children, Brendan and Maura; her mother, Kathleen Mantei (Richard) Walker; her three sisters, Susan (Jeff) Koepke, Sara (Matthew) Broderick and Ellen (Justin) Smith; her in-laws, Jim and Jane Mack, Kathleen Mack, Michael Mack and Tim (Megan) Mack; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, David Mantei.
Allison was born and raised in Long Beach, Indiana. She attended Notre Dame Catholic School, is a 1991 graduate of Marquette High School and a 1995 graduate of Marquette University.
After college graduation, Allison spent many years in the retail and fashion industry, which is why she was so good at shopping. She and Greg married June 3, 2000, and lived in Chicago for a short time before heading to the suburbs to start a family. After moving to Northbrook and then Vernon Hills, they moved to Duneland Beach to be closer to friends, family and the beach.
Allison's happy place was the beach, whether it was in their favorite vacation destination of Longboat Key, Florida, or at Stop 35 in Duneland Beach.
