Charles R. Fawley, 71, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. in his home, surrounded by his family.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, Indiana, is handling arrangements.
He was born Aug. 31, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Charley and Josephine (Swirple) Fawley. On Aug. 6, 1977, in Michigan City, Indiana, he married Teresa Armstrong, who survives in Michigan City, Indiana.
Also surviving are a daughter, Carrie (Michael) Hubner of Michigan City, Indiana; three grandchildren, Tyler Fawley, Alexis Moll and Abigail Moll; brothers-in-law, David (Sandy) Armstrong of Venice, Florida, and Douglas (Lynn) Armstrong of Portage, Indiana; sisters-in-law, Rhonda (Patrick) Gondeck and Jill Armstrong, both of Michigan City, Indiana; special cousin, Ronald (Kathi) Dean of La Porte, Indiana; and several other cousins.
Charles received an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eastern Michigan Engineering and retired from Herr-Voss in Burns Harbor, Indiana. He enjoyed restoring cars and traveling.
