Dan VanSchoyck, 73, of Union Mills passed away Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023, in La Porte.
He was born Aug. 14, 1949. in La Porte to Richard D. and Charlotte (Schultz) VanSchoyck. On June 29, 2002, he married Annette Ohman, who survives.
Also surviving him are his brothers, Roger (Mary) VanSchoyck, Richard VanSchoyck and Mark VanSchoyck, all of La Porte; his sisters, Charlene (Jay) Gilpin of New Carlisle and Cheryl VanSchoyck of La Porte; and his close cousins, Diana (Wayne) Mebust of Union Mills and Frank (Mary) VanSchoyck of Rolling Prairie. Several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog "Tank" also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John.
Dan was a 1968 Rolling Prairie High School graduate and a member of the Union Mills Lions Club. He loved to golf and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
A celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions in memory of Dan can be made to the family, to be used for a charitable cause to be determined at a later date.
