Danny L. Bailey, age 65, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, in Michigan City, Indiana.
Danny was born on June 7, 1960, in Michigan City to Robert and Beverly (Haack) Bailey and, on May 27, 1978, he and Paula (Adey) Bailey were joined in love and marriage. Both parents and his beloved wife preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving children, Kay (Todd) Pliske and Rachel Bailey (Sergio Serrano); grandchildren, Braxon and Colton Pliske; and sisters, Diana (Bryan) Smith and Barbara (Dan) Adkins.
Danny's younger years were spent firmly rooted in Red Devil athletics, and he found fulfillment later in life through his love of the quiet outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed spending time at the campground with friends. Most importantly, he loved being with his family, and especially his grandchildren.
Danny's quick wit provided continuous laughter among all who knew him, and his sense of humor will endure for many years to come. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, endearing perseverance and an incredible ability to interject humor into any situation.
Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home located at 613 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana, which will be followed by a service with Pastor Jamie Constance officiating.
