David Matthews Obituary

David Ronald Matthews, 76, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023.

He was born on July 16, 1946, in London, England, to the late David and Anne (Eaton) Matthews. David was also preceded in death by one sister, Patricia E. Nichols. He is survived by two sisters, Sandra Anne (Joseph W.) Wickham of Avon Park, Florida, and Michelle T. Matthews of La Porte, Indiana; two nephews, Anthony D. Malysiak and Michael Nichols; two nieces, Catherine S. Fossler and Kimberly (Noah) Nemmers; four great-nieces, Emma Nichols, Claire and Leah Nemmers, and Taylor Fossler; and one great-nephew, Cody Fossler.

David was a history and geography buff. David will be missed for his generous spirit, quick wit, carefree spirit and for being the life of the party by all that knew and loved him.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (www.nationalms society.org) or The Cathedral of St. James Church, 117 N. Lafayette Blvd #1507, South Bend, IN, 46601, in David's honor. Online condolences may be left at www.kaniewski.com.
