Deana Murray, 92, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away, Monday, Nov. 29, 2021.
Deana was born June 3, 1929, to the late John and Marie (Prince) Demas.
On Nov. 16, 1946, Deana married Kenneth D. Murray, who preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1991.
Deana worked at American Rubber as an inspector and vulcanizer. She bowled in the senior league into her late 80s, was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, volunteered at St. John's Thrift Shop, a member of Circle 8 of St. John's and helped with funeral luncheons.
Deana is survived by her two daughters, Sharon (Steve) Heniser of Cicero, Indiana, and Connie (Harold "Pee-Wee") Lawrence of Brookston, Indiana; two sons, Russ (Susan) Murray of Columbus, Ohio, and John Murray of La Porte, Indiana; seven grandchildren, John (Kim) Murray, Tracy (Tim) Novak, Marc (Jen) Heniser, Michael (Shawna) Heniser, Nichole Lawrence, Holly Lawrence and Cody (Jessica) Lawrence; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Toni Mushinski of Plainfield, Indiana, and Angie Kmiecik of Michigan City, Indiana; and two half-sisters, Patsy and Millie.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at the funeral home. Reverend Dr. Ken Schaeffer will officiate. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Cemetery, Michigan City.
