Gerald Wayne Yourist I, age 71, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021.

Gerald was born on June 25, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to Marvin H. Yourist and Imogene (Foulks) Lewis, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son, Gerald Wayne Yourist II; mother who raised him, Betty Yourist; brothers, Bill (Vicky) Wantland and John (Marilyn) Cunningham; and sisters, Nayoma Zeese and Juanita (Steve) Middleton. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marlene Stadler and Betty Roots; and cousin, Rodney Yourist.

Gerald was known as being the "Clock Man" of Michigan City. He was able to repair clocks from all over. He retired from the Worthington Steel Mill after 20 years of service.

Arrangements were entrusted in the care of Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington Street, Michigan City, IN, 46360.
