Dear Jeff,
I realize that I´m very late in responding ...I just found out today of your passing. Man, I have thought about you often over the years.Im so sorry that we drifted apart, and to say it is a regret would be an understatement. I never got to tell you how much you helped me get through high school. Switching to Rogers after losing a close friend of mine while I was at Elston... you took me in and never judged me. Your friendship and support meant the world to me. But as I read through other people´s comments here and elsewhere I can see that it was just who you were at your core. A great man whose compassion and spirit knew no bounds. You gave it freely to whomever was blessed enough to have it offered. Man I have missed you over the years, I do look forward to when we can meet up again and tell each some stories. I´ll see you soon enough bro, and may God be with us all.

Jeff has to be the nicest person I´ve ever met. I asked him one time why he wore Hawaiian shirts, he said he wore them to remind himself of his battle, and also keep people smiling. This conversation took place after he beat cancer the first time. To hear it had returned was horrible. Even as bad as it was, Jeff kept his spirits up. While cancer may have taken his life, it never took his spirit. While he and I were not train crew, I think it´s fair to say that"high ball" good sir, and see you in the future.

My sympathy to the Sturgeon family on the passing of Jeff. I have fond memories of Jeff at Rogers High School. Jeff had an awesome, positive personality and was an outstanding individual. May he RIP.

First, I wanna express condolences to Jeff's surviving family. Want to Thank you guys as several times you welcomed me into your home (You guys were less than 1/4mi from us, on Rukmin)
I also want to Thank Jeff's parent's & inner circle for raising a young man, proper. He was given as solid a foundation, moral, and ethical compass. Jeff used it to build upon with his own experiences and maturity, to excellent effect.
Jeff, buddy, I'm sure those Sinatra blue eyes are looking down upon us. Thank you for your friendship, loyalty, sportsmanship, and ALWAYS LAUGHING AT MY SILLY SCHOOL ANTICS. Much of my goof ball school years behavior was ALWAYS BENIGN, never DILIBERATLY at anyone's expense (though I likely made some teachers miserable if no sense of humor!) But it was usually my way of repaying so many dear friends with one of life's few things that matter > LAUGHTER AND BIG GENUINE SMILES! Jeff, you always delivered smiles and happiness to those of us lucky enough to be among your inner circle.
Having been comedians, we were also Athletes and Sports Fanatics. Just wanted to make certain anyone reading about Jeff, from his friends what a Talented Gifted and Motivated Athlete Jeff was.
I was fortunate enough to have met Jeff [AND SO MANY OF MY STILL LOYAL FAVORITE PEOPLE, AT COOLSPRING! , stayed together through Krueger Jr High, then The Last Graduating Class of Rogers High School] so basically childhood through young adults...
Jeff, I certainly hope you had a full life, THE TYPE YOU ABSOLUTELY DESERVED NOTHING LESS THAN! I hope you continued to Live, Laugh, Love, and Play as much as you did before you moved.
Well, Mr Sturgeon, I truly regret not having had an opportunity for a PROPER goodbye, with a Bro Hug and a HUGE BELLY LAUGH.
Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your life and as good a friend as anyone could ask for, pal.
Oh, almost forgot > as everyone knows, I came as a set with my Late Twin Brother, Trevor Drewes. Jeff, he felt same as I do - he's up there waiting for ya (10 years, last Nov)
Love and I am,
Jason Drewes
