Misty McMurray Obituary
Misty A. McMurray, 36, of Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, at 8:34 a.m. in Franciscan Health Michigan City.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel.
She was born July 26, 1986, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. On Oct. 4, 2014, in La Porte, Indiana, she married Rodney McMurray, who survives in Trail Creek, Indiana.
Surviving are her children, Ammia McMurray and Toby McMurray of Trail Creek, Indiana; stepdaughter, Sierra McMurray of Kingsford Heights, Indiana; mother and stepfather, Dawn and Dennis Gardner of La Porte, Indiana; father, Timothy (Julie) Pickett of Wheeler, Indiana; three sisters, Christa (Zach) Burch of Michigan City, Indiana, Amber (Ryan) Pickett of Westville, Indiana, and Heather Czizek of Michigan City, Indiana; her brother, Timothy Pickett of Hobart, Indiana; and many precious nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Misty enjoyed art, painting, and puzzles. Most of all, Misty's life was dedicated to her family and she loved them fiercely. We will miss her love, laughter, quick wit, sense of humor, and generous spirit.

My mother was the most amazing mother ever. Her last moments i did everything. I did not expect to wake up one day and her to just be gone. Its been 2 years yesterday. I wish i was able to say goodbye.

My child was part of the 3 girls that will always remain the loves of my life. My Misty being the oldest...we all had a deep & strong bond from birth. We each individually received a 2nd beginning as adults & ended up being our very bestest friends. Amber & Christa will forever feel the same void in their lives as I do. We are all still all grieving intensely for you but we grieve together, with the hope & faith of the 4; of us being reunited. Your personality has left a HUGE hole in the families lives. No one could replace you & everything you are. We love you & we Will see you soon love, mom
