Richard "Louie" Pletcher, 67, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away peacefully in the morning of Feb. 23, 2022, with his family by his side.
Richie was a loving husband, father and grandfather (known as Pa) as well as a kind, caring person to all he knew. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt morel mushrooms and game, fish and hike, especially cave tours in Tennessee, where he took many family vacations. He enjoyed blues music and his yearly Canada fishing trip with his family, friends and co-workers of Howmet, where he retired after 40 years. Richie's greatest joy was his family.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Eleanore and Louis Pletcher.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Pletcher; children, Shea Pletcher, Gina Austin and Robert Austin; granddaughters, Audrey, Taylor and Leila Pletcher; and sister, Charmaine Reeves.
Per his wishes, the family will grieve privately. Cremation will take place. There will be no services. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, 219-362-3100, is caring for the arrangements.
