Robert Grover Obituary
Robert J. "Bob" Grover of Emporia, Kansas, passed away at his home on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at the age of 83.
Robert was born in La Porte, Indiana, on Oct. 27, 1942, the son of John T. and Gladys Marie (Hartner) Grover. Bob and Susan G. Fowler were united in marriage on Aug. 5, 1995, at Grace United Methodist Church, Emporia, Kansas. Susan survives of the home.
Bob is also survived by his son, Robert S. Grove; and a brother, Gerald V. "Jerry" Grover. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan (Shaw) Grover, who passed away in July of 1973; his parents; and an infant child.
A Celebration of Bob's life will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Emporia, Kansas, on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at 11 a.m. Family and friends will gather at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, Thursday evening, Dec. 4, 2025, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. for visitation. Cremation has occurred.
Memorial contributions to Hand-In-Hand-Hospice or Trinity United Church of Christ Chicago may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box #175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
