How I remember Bob as a great childhood and later friend. His grandpa Albert Koeppen owned 40 acres across our fence on 29th Ave in Garyton. Grandpa Keoppen didn't have the equipment to put up hay or harvest crops so Bob's dad Tutty and the boys would come dad make hay and put it in Mr.Koeppens barn as I was always with Mr. Koeppen I was to little to really do any thing useful so Bob would drive the tractor and I would ride and we would sing to the chunk, chunk of the baler. Duane would and sometimes Tutty would be stacking the hay on the wagon. I was in the Navy when Swansons moved to rolling Prairie, when I would come home on leave I'd go out to see Tutty and visit. After Tutty had his heart attack Bob came home to help run the farm. I always tried to see him when I would visit when in the area. After he sold the farm I visited him where he moved to not to far from where the farm was. We drove around he showing me all the barns and buildings where he had wood stored. I consider Bob a true friend, and will be missed by all that knew him. May you RIP Bob and you all are back together again.
