It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of Sharon Ann Struyf, from Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passing on Jan. 6, 2025, at the age of 74. She left this world peacefully, enveloped in the warmth of her loved ones, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of love, kindness and treasured memories that will forever be cherished.
Sharon was born on April 17, 1950, in Chicago to Rita McDermott.
Sharon will be deeply cherished by her loving family, including her devoted husband of 56 years, Mike Struyf, who stood by her side, along with her daughter, Sheri Cote (Winston), Oregon; son, Scott Struyf (Crystal), Washington; and son, Steven Stryuf (Ericka) of La Porte, Indiana, all of whom will hold her memory ever close to their hearts. Sharon was also blessed with seven wonderful grandchildren, Joshua Keb, Texas, Justin Keb, California, Savannah Carlisle, Oregon, Hailey Carlisle, Oregon, Lauryn Carlisle, Oregon, Peyton Struyf, Washington, and Sophia Struyf, Indiana; as well as five delightful great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love she fostered in her life.
Sharon was the vibrant heart of every gathering, her passion for cooking shining through in every meal. She infused her love into the food she created, delighting in the joy of sharing it with others. She touched the lives of everyone she encountered, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends that will resonate through eternity.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Indiana. Cremation has taken place with burial in Rolling Prairie Cemetery in the spring.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Sharon's name.

Hello Mike. It's been over 45 yrs since seeing you, Sharon, and Sheri at Aunt Urs's at the celebration for my mother's marriage. I appreciated that.
Now it's a sadder time. It seems
your Sharon was the light in the family's life and I'm sure she will forever be missed. My heart goes out to all of you!
