Shirley Ann Malstaff, 87 of Union Mills passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
She was born Sept. 24, 1937, in Hanna to the late Frank and Evelyn (Childers) Owen. Shirley graduated from Hanna High School. She was an avid gardener who was known for her beautiful gladiolus. Shirley was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her happy demeanor, upbeat personality, and her kind and compassionate heart. Shirley will be dearly missed.
On April 25, 1959, Shirley married Mitchell Malstaff, who preceded her in death on March 10, 2023. She is survived by their daughters, Michelle Urness and Kathryn Brew; grandchildren, Alana Urness, Claire Urness-Marks, Austin Malstaff and Katelyn Brew; and sister, Bonnie Huhnke. She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Owen.
A graveside service will be held at Hanna Cemetery on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11 a.m. Wanatah Funeral Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
