Stephen "Steve" James, age 79, of Crown Point, Indiana, formerly of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024. Steve married Louise James on July 4, 1970, and was married for 48 years.
Steve is survived by his children, Tina (Kevin) Pape of Crown Point, Indiana, Ryan (Fernando) Senra-James of Tallahassee, Florida, and Gary (Ana) James of Brownsburg, Indiana; grandchildren, Zachary Human and Grant and Juliette Pape; and his close cousin, Phil McDonald.
Steve worked in the finance industry for over 35 years before retiring from his fulfilling career. He spent several years in Edgewater, Florida, with his wife, Louise, until once again, relocating back to their hometown, Michigan City, in 1997. In 2016, Steve and Louise moved to Crown Point to be closer to family. He then lived with Tina and Kevin for almost five years before transferring to Aperion Care in DeMotte, Indiana.
