Thomas Kollar Obituary
Thomas E. Kollar, 63, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, at 6:08 p.m. in his home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.
He was born June 20, 1958, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Arthur and Oneta (Sypult) Kollar. In 2016, he married Laima (Bilaityte) Pranckus, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Tristan Kollar of Chicago, Illinois; stepdaughter, Arune Pranckute of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Diane (Jeff Bartron) Petoskey of Thomasville, Georgia; and lifelong friend, Jeff Pangborn.
Thomas was a Senior Operations Technician at Cleveland Cliffs and a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, grilling, reading history and Chicago sports.
