Mischievous Travis Lloyd Germain, born on June 24, 2000, to Tammy Comer and Steve Germain in Michigan City, Indiana, escaped this mortal realm at the young age of 21.
Travis was a mama's boy. He enjoyed going camping with his mom and stepdad. He enjoyed doing any activities that got his hands dirty, like taking things apart and putting them back together. He has always had a need for speed – traveling, skydiving, anything for an adrenaline rush.
Travis was one of a kind; he was very loving and very playful. He enjoyed joking around with his family by annoying them or making them mad for his amusement. He would always figure out each person's buttons, and then press them. Travis loved to hang out with his cousin "Bubby"; they were likely getting into some kind of trouble together.
He loved all the babies in the family and was an amazing and fun uncle. He was also very protective over his sister, as she was to him. They were each other's keepers. Trav was a man of few words and no facial expressions, except for his "up to no good" type of grin, which everyone will remember him by. The lessons Trav taught us we will be held onto for life. He taught us all how to love without conditions, to not take life so seriously. Travis will be greatly missed by many.
Travis departed this life on Nov. 27, 2021. He will be welcomed to heaven by his grandparents (paternal) Ronald (Faye) Germain, (maternal) Richard Rhodes; uncles: Tony Comer, Timmy Comer, Bill Comer, Brent Crabb-Comer; aunt, Teresa Comer; cousins: Amanda Comer, Bobby Comer, and Tori Shields.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, from 4-6 p.m. at Full Gospel Church of Deliverance at 2700 Ohio St., Michigan City, Indiana, with Pastor Dennis Pickens to do Eulogy.
Travis leaves behind his mother, Tammy Comer; step-father, Jimmy Saylor; father, Steve Germain; grandparents: Sandra Rhodes, Harold Comer, Barbara and James Saylor; sister, Haley (Adam) Comer; along with two nieces, Sophia and Davinah; aunts: Tara (Albert) Grantham, Rhonda (Jim) Peter, Donna (John) Voor, Lynn (John) Kolodziej; uncles: Tommy (Rosetta) Logins, Jeff Germain, Timothy Hampton, Clinton Comer, Trevor Comer, Shannon (Amy) Rhodes, Greg Saylor; special cousins: Kristin (Michael) Finney, Steven Childress, Timothy Grantham, and Tyler Rhodes; along with many others. Travis's best friend was Ethan McFarland, and Travis looked up to Michael Finney.
Any contributions can be made to Brother Dennis Pickens at Full Gospel Church of Deliverance, 2700 Ohio St. Michigan City, IN, 46360.
