William Robert Dankert IV, age 44, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, following an automobile accident.
Bill was born on March 16, 1981, in La Porte, Indiana, to William Robert Dankert III and Pamela (Adams) Dankert.
Bill had a strong passion for business, particularly in real estate development, construction and farming, and owned businesses throughout the country. He also greatly enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to visit 35 countries. An avid downhill skier, Bill embraced adventure and new experiences.
He is survived by his loving parents, William and Pamela Dankert of La Porte; his sister, Kelly (Josh) McMillen of Winter Garden, Florida; his paternal grandmother, Gabriella Dankert of Clermont, Florida; his aunts, Jill (George) Wilamowski of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Alice Lenig of La Porte; his cherished nieces, Morgan and Mason; and cousins, Ed (Ginger), Jason, Marie (Frank), Bridgette (Bruce) and Garrett (Cheyenne).
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. CST on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.
Words of remembrance will be shared at 11 a.m., CST immediately following the visitation.
Burial will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
