My cousin, Country, felt like he knew me better than anyone. And he probably did, because he took the time to do so...
I became his side-seat rider to family reunions, family weddings, & entertainment events. He made sure I came over to visit the church he attended. We did a lot of things together. And I could always count on him to check on me!
He kept current with both sides of his family. He knew when the new babies were born and how the parents & grandparents were doing. He knew who was in college and what they were studying and when they would graduate. He knew all the success stories of our actresses, athletes, musicians, & professionals!
He was loved across all generations! He was a proud grandpa! He had a special bond with his son´s (Frank) friends. (*thank you all for being there for him). Country asked God for wisdom & knowledge and he received it & he shared it with others.
I already miss our Sunday conversations. And we always ended them with "I love you". I´m so thankful for the talks that he and I had to make this day a little more bearable. I know he is okay now. And if you ever met my cousin once, you will never forget him! He dropped something in your spirit that will last a lifetime, thus, his memories will be with us forever!
God, we thank You for the life of Willie Edward Turner!
