Arlene D. Zuker

Arlene D. Zuker Okemos Age 92, passed away October 14, 2013. She was born July 15, 1921, in Lansing, MI. Arlene served as the secretary for Zuker Tires for many years. She had worked for JCPenney, Montgomery Ward and Knapps. During WWII she worked at the REO plant. Arlene loved animals and music and played in an all-girl band during the '40s. She is survived by her children, Bill (Sandi) Zuker of Asheboro, NC, Jeanne Zuker of Charlotte, Dave (Lynn) Zuker of Williamston, and Jerry (Barb) Zuker of Okemos; 8 grandchildren, Travis, Sammy, Ryan, Jennifer, Jarrod, Lydia, Cristina and Ricky; 4 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Ava, Corrina and Jonathen; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russ Zuker; son, Jimmy Zuker; daughter, Jan Herring, sister, Jeanne Bash; father, Ora Henslee; and mother, Vera Browning. A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Inurnment will take place at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McLaren Visiting Nurse & Hospice or to your local humane society.
