Betty VanAuken Obituary

Betty L. VanAuken Dimondale Age 79, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Mrs. VanAuken was born September 6, 1931 in Lansing. She was actively involved in her community and was a life member of the Potterville Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. VanAuken was preceded in death by her husbands, Gerald Hulliberger and Ralph VanAuken; her son, Richard VanAuken; and granddaughter, Kimberly Galey. Surviving are six children, Brad (Diane) Hulliberger, Clark (Marilyn) Hulliberger, Sharon (Jess) Justice, Pamela (Brad) Blemaster, Shelley (Jim) Duthie and Lance (Jane) VanAuken; daughter-in-law, Mary VanAuken; 17 grandchildren, Jason, Chris, Anthony, Kyle, Jeff, Amanda, Mary Lou, Sara, Laura, Matthew, Emily, Kenneth, Bryan, Eric, Ronnie, Daniel and George; and 23 great-grandchildren. In keeping with Betty's wishes, there will be no formal service. A celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Potterville United Methodist Church with Pastor Becky Morrison officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Advantage, 801 S. Waverly Rd., Ste. 304, Lansing, MI 48917
