Uncle Gay has always been someone special to me. He was always ready with a smile, joke or a tease. I called him my handsomest uncle. He will be missed. You all have been in my thoughts and prayers.

To a truly great man, Uncle Gaylord. You will be missed terribly. We will always remember your smile, your laugh, and your love. There are many that are welcoming you home. Some that have waited a long time. May your soul rest in peace and your spirit live on in all of us who loved you.

One of our fondest and most treasured memories of the family gatherings was Uncle Gaylord – he ALWAYS brought the laughter. He was full of humor, hilarious (LOL) comments, and great stories. He was a wonderful man, brother, husband, dad, uncle, and grandpa, who was loved by all. He will be dearly missed, and forever in our hearts and memories. Today, tomorrow and always our thoughts are with you.

Uncle Gaylord, an honor to have had in my life. He brought so many things to the table, his spirit, smile and that special twinkle in his eye, then as we grew older he brought love, support and strength. You should all be proud to have had such a great father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

forever loved,

To my Cousins, I will never be able to express the love I had for "Uncs". The love and support he gave me was only that which truly came from his heart. He was my rock at a time I needed him most. He was my guide when I needed advice. He was my connection that lived on once I lost my mom. He will be forever missed but will forever live on in my heart. Karla Evanoff Turin
