Gordon Powers Obituary

Gordon Joseph Powers Minneapolis, MN Formerly of DeWitt, MI Gordon Joseph Powers joined his brother, Bobby and granddad, Raymond Krahe, in Heaven on February 11, 2008. He will continue to be loved by his parents, John and Barbara Powers; his brothers, Dave and Neal and sister, Clara; his soul mate, Sharon; grandparents, John and Ann Powers and Ruth and Carl Buettner; and extended family, including, Abby Egan, 15 aunts, 15 uncles, 44 cousins, and countless friends in Lansing and Minneapolis. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 18, 10:00 a.m. at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge Street, DeWitt. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with the Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. and Monday at the church 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of the charities Gordon enjoyed supporting, Special Olympics, Refugee Services, Habitat for Humanity, the Red Cross, Meals-on-Wheels, CVIP at MSU Civitan, and Maryknoll Missions, c/o Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes.
