Howard John Littell

Howard John Littell Chelsea Born November 1, 1909, in Chicago, IL; died January 22, 2009, at the age of 99. Howard had retired as a mechanical engineer from Chrysler Corporation. He was an energetic man who bowled well into his eighties and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Howard was very devoted to his family and his dear wife who preceded him in death by almost 20 years. He had an exceptionally good-natured spirit and affected everyone he met with his vibrant smile and countless optimism. What a life! Howard was also preceded in death by 3 siblings. Surviving are his daughters, Janet (Robert G.) Caltrider and Marge (Doug) Isherwood; grandsons, Thomas (Robin Adams) Caltrider, Steven (Juli) Caltrider and David (Jacqueline) Isherwood; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Brandon and Jessica Caltrider; and brother, William Littell. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 26, at 11:00 a.m. at the University United Methodist Church, 1120 S. Harrison Rd., East Lansing. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, on Sunday from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Monday 1-hour prior to the service.
