Jane Brake Obituary
Lansing
Went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the age of 88. Jane was born on June 3, 1926 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late William and Myrtle (Connor) Pennell. In 1953, she married and moved to Lansing with her beloved husband Richard. They were longtime members of St. Gerard Catholic Church, where she belonged to Queen of Angels Circle and Mary Magdalen League. Jane was a devoted and caring wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her brother, William, and four sisters, Marion, Dorothy, Jean, and Donna. She is survived by her loving husband Richard Brake; four children, Mary (Robert Ball), Sheila, David (Shirlee Bobryk), Paul (Diane); her six grandchildren, Andrew (Kelly), Brian, Charles Ball, Eric and Christine Wright, and Marie Brake.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gerard Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Klein as Celebrant. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Delta Chapel, with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Contributions may be made to St. Vincent Catholic Charities. Condolences may be made at www.palmerbush.com.
