Janet Rhodes Obituary
Grand Ledge - Janet Kay Rhodes a devoted wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend passed away May 21, 2020. She was born February 14, 1940 in Alma, Michigan to the late Harry H. and Dorothy J. (Whelch) Dobie. Jan graduated from Alma High School Class of 1958 and work as an Analyst for Michigan National Bank. She enjoyed looking and shopping for a good deal, taking trips to the casino and playing Yatzee with family and friends. Jan will be greatly missed by her special childhood friend, Penny Miller who called Jan everyday sometimes twice a day. She is survived by her sons, Dave and Jeff; grandchildren, Michael, Mitchell (Stacey), Lyndsey (Peter) Baculi, Kassidy (Michael) O'Keefe and Tori Rhodes; 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Don in 2012 along with brothers, Marvin and Jerry Dobie. A Celebration of Jan's life will be held at a later time and the date and time will be announced when the service is scheduled. Memorial contributions in Jan's may be given to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements by the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge.
