Jean Howard Obituary

Jean Howard St. Johns Jean Howard died Friday, February 20, 2009 at the age of 72. She was born June 8, 1936 in St. Johns, Michigan the daughter of Ellsworth and Edith (Stevens) Stockwell. She was a graduate of Rodney B. Wilson High School in St. Johns, Class of 1954, a former Farm Bureau member and loved spending time with her family. On February 27, 1955 she married Gordon Howard and he survives her. Also surviving are three daughters, Pam (Albert) Ott of Holt, Sandy (Dennis) Jury of St. Johns and Kathy Howard and special friend Scott, both of Holt; three grandchildren, Heather, Emily, and Tommy; two sisters, Nan (Gene) Havens and Katie Stockwell, both of St. Johns; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns 989-224-4422 with Elder Earl Barks officiating. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday and 1 hour prior the funeral Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to an education fund for her grandchildren, or Eaton Community Hospice, 2675 S. Cochran, Charlotte, MI 48813.
