It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of Jennifer Michelle Sheaffer (Finley) of Potterville, MI on Monday, April 7, 2014 at the age of 34.
She was born in Novato, CA to Robert and Michelle Finley on June 8, 1979. Jen graduated from Petaluma High School in 1997 and went on to graduate Scottsdale Culinary Institute with a degree in culinary arts.
She married Richard Patrick Sheaffer on September 21, 2002 in Lansing, MI. Richard and Jennifer's son Brennan preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Richard Sheaffer; daughter Evelyn Sheaffer; parents Michelle Finley (Dale Moore), Robert (Carey) Finley; her twin sister Christine Finley (Brittany Wise); sister-in-law Mary Manthey (Chris); niece Sonora Manthey; nephew Lochlan Manthey; mother-in-law, Kay Sheaffer; father-in-law Larry Sheaffer (Josie).
Visitation will take place on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 3-7 PM at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Her family will celebrate her life on Sunday, April 13th at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with cremation following. Memorial contributions may be made in the form of flowers to the funeral home. Jennifer was a lovely person, a bright light even through her pain and struggles. I knew her for a very short time, but in that time she talked lovingly about her daughter. It breaks my heart that Evelyn has lost her mother this way.

I'm so saddened to her about this loss. I went to high school with Jenny and always ended up having a locker nearby her, always ended up having a class with her. I can still remember her infectious laugh and will always remember her as a good person.
