Kandy Chamberlain Obituary
Rodney, MI
Formerly of Mason, MI - Born September 25, 1947, in Mason, MI, the daughter of the late Lyle E. and June E. (Scott) Walker, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Kandy graduated from Holt High School in 1966, and attended Davenport University. She was a gifted and talented Customer Service Representative, having worked for several companies retiring from LorAnn Oil Company in 2009. Kandy grew up spending summers at the family cottage on Chippewa Lake and had such fond memories with family and friends.
Kandy is survived by her husband, Donald, her 2 children: Kara (Philip) Douma and Kirk Franklin, 2 step sons: Scott (Rebecca) Chamberlain and Kevin (Kym) Chamberlain, 3 grandchildren: James and Alexander Douma, and Whitney Franklin, 8 step grandchildren, a sister Krystal (Tim) Malatinsky, her companion Chihuahua, Mia, and several loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Karen Walker.
Private Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 520 E. Mt. Hope Ave, Lansing, MI with Rev. Lyle Heaton officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, 4:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home. Covid19 protocol will be followed with Mask Required and Social Distancing Observed. Only 25 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time. Condolences can be made at www.palmerbush.com

I graduated with Kandy in 1966 from Holt High School and she lived not far from me on Washington Avenue. So we ran together for a while. She was so sweet and so much fun to be around. We lost track of each other for some time but then my husband and I reconnected at a class reunion and then on FB a few years ago.. loved her jokes, her pictures, comments and just keeping in the loop was fun. Bob and I are so sorry to hear such sad news. Her smile and friendly nature will be missed by so many and our deepest condolences go out to her family and friends. RIP Kandy
