Marcella Ashley Obituary

Marcella "Marcy" Ashley Born January 22, 1932 to Wayne and Ida Carey, our loving mother passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011. Marcy loved her flower garden, her puzzles and her crosswords, but her grandchildren were her greatest love. Marcy was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Ashley; her parents, Wayne Carey and Ida Pettit; sister, Delores Gritzmacher; and mother-in-law, Mildred Ashley. She is survived by her children, Don (Tammy) Ashley, Dennis Ashley, Denise (Steve) Piggott; grandchildren, Mickie, James, Chris, William, Jamie, Jennifer, Joseph; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Pat (Chris) Mollitor; brother Duke (Sharon) Carey; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 17, 2011, at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, with visitation one-hour prior to service. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may sign the online guestbook at www.tiffanyfuneralhome.com In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marcy's name to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.
