Marie Madigan Wegener New Port Richey, FL Formerly of Lansing Born June 30, 1929 in Wayne, MI the daughter of John C. and Grace M. (Lazzotte) Madigan, passed away while surrounded by family and friends Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in New Port Richey, FL at age 80. Herb and Marie were members of Holy Cross Catholic Church from 1966 until it closed. She was a retired bookeeper for the UAW Local 602. Marie shared her time with the Holy Cross Altar Society, as a St. Lawrence Hospital volunteer, and a member of K of C 788 Ladies Auxiliary. Herb and Marie shared special times with the "Moosers". After their move to Florida she continued volunteering with the St. Vincent DePaul Society, the St. Lazarus Society, and was a special caretaker to those in need. She enjoyed the Red Hat Society, her grandchildren and spending summers at their cottage in Buckley. Surviving is her devoted husband of 56 years Herb, her children Thomas (Joyce), Michael (Vickey), Eric (Karen), Lisa (Marc) Blum, 11 grandchildren Jennielle (Colin) Strother, Ricke, Christopher (Noelle), Rebecca (Steven), Jeffrey, Michelle, Sean, Adam, Madeline, Andrew, Sara and 2 great-grandchildren Ava & Cruz. She is also survived by brother Norman and sisters: Anne (Joseph) Spreitzer and Rosemary (Bill) Ulmer and special friends Jeanne (Daniel) Beachnau and Danielle (John)O'Neil. The funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00a.m. at St. Gerard Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Klein as celebrant. Visitation will be Monday, 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel, 6020 W. Saginaw Hwy where the Rosary will be prayed at 7pm.
