I was heartbroken to hear of your mom's passing. I love how her obituary mentioned her great hugs because that is one of the first things I thought of when I thought of her. Your mom was always ready with a warm smile and a big hug when I'd see her at school events and I'll miss her. I'm so glad to have called her a friend and to have had her by my side during our Windermere View PTO days. Much love and hugs to all of you!

My heart goes out to Sarah, Emily and Micheal....your mom was the light of many lives and her candle will burn on in all who had the privilege to know her... Her laughter and her love of life lives on.....She was a treasure that I had the privilege to call a friend....Cherish the memories kids and let that smile live on in your lives she would not want you to be sad in grief but find courage in the love she had for you... Her spirit lives on in a whisper, a laughter and most of all an embrace ...

Dear Sarah, Emily and Micheal and family. I send my sincere sympathy to all of you. I am saddened to hear of Patty's passing. Patty and I went to high school together and were very close friends. I haven't seen her in many years, but remember her so fondly. She was a wonderful friend to me and to all who knew her. I am happy to hear that her love of our LORD Jesus, remained the foundation of her life and that she shared the light with so many. She shared her light with me and I am so thankful. May God Be With You.

Patty was the most kind, gentle and loving person. She would go out of her way to make you feel wanted and Loved! She beamed with the Love of God and giving of herself. I worked with your mom at Inovalon and got to know her from Mount Hope. She would go out of her way when working with the kids in Spyn Ministries. I am sorry for your loss and may God be with you. Linda

Emily, Sarah and Michael Treasure your memories of your mom. She was a loving and caring mother. I did not know her well but she was always friendly, kind and smiling when I spoke with her I wish I had known her better. She brought me a pie once for no special reason but just because she was so special. A thoughtful deed that I have never forgotten.

Sarah and family, I have gotten to know Patty through working with her at the medical team. She was such a sweet soul. Always so thoughtful and caring. She always asked about my family, and we had wonderful conversations and laughs on the weekends I got to work with her. I will truly miss those times with her. I am honored to have known her. To Patty's Family,
We are so saddened by your loss. I hadn't seen Patty in a very long time, but we grew up together as children. We connected recently on Facebook and were so surprised to read of her death. Please know that our prayers are with all of you.

I had the honor to be with family on the morning one of God's finest daughters entered into His glory. Patty Berg was "Jesus with skin on" to SO many. She was an amazing mother to Sarah, Emily and Michael. She was also a spiritual mom to countless teens involved Spyn Student Outreach, St. Vincent Catholic Charities and far beyond! I had the honor to serve with her and to be a friend and pastor to her kids. I love them so much!
Few knew that I relied on Patty as a key intercessor for //Spyn Alive & Free -- I would stop by her chair and share my heart for that night (or for a specific student), she'd squeeze my hand & smile. Her prayers made me strong. We won victories together.
Patty always saw the best in others and looked out for the outsider. Her hugs were notorious (packed with unconditional love and healing). I won't begin to speak for her but I think we all know her heart would be for us to love each other, forgive each other and unite together. I think she would want us to come closer to God rather than allow her passing to cause us to run farther away. Let's remember our mission and reach out to the lost with compassion and encourage each other with truth.
I'm grateful for Patty. I will seek to honor her life by loving others quicker and with greater joy. I will also do all I can to love her family. Let's pray for the Bergs and let's stand together. One day, we will see Patty again in heaven. Let's LIVE every breath for Christ's glory until that day.
See you again, Patty! We LOVE YOU! Chilly and family.

Dear Sarah, Emily, Michael and Family and Friends, I'm so sorry for your loss. You had and will always have your mother with you even if it's just in your heart and soul. She was the family member who was so nice and treated me with love. I appreciated her kindness and loved her for that. Remember her smiles, hugs, and wisdom. She will always be with you and with all of us.

I am sad and share your loss... but am grateful to have worked with your Mom. She was always caring, thoughtful, professional--a really great nurse. We missed her so much when she changed jobs and were always happy to see her again. Her laugh was especially wonderful and could light up the room!
But most of all, when she spoke of you it was clear how much she delighted and loved each one of you--a really great mother.
Sincerely,
Nancy Spates, M.D.
