Patsy M. Fitzgerald

Patsy M. Fitzgerald Lansing Patsy M. Fitzgerald, age 82, passed away April 19, 2009 in Lansing. She was born October 11, 1926 the daughter of Charles R. and Marion (Beadle) Moore. Patsy was a graduate of J.W. Sexton High School, class of 1944. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, and was a true Spartan fan. Patsy was a wonderful mother. She had an infectious smile, was sweet, gentle and kind, and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Patsy left a legacy of love her family. She is survived by her 4 children, William P. Fitzgerald of East Lansing, Terri E. (Randy) Canfield of DeWitt, Jeffrey S. (Cindy) Fitzgerald of DeWitt, and John E. (Adela) Fitzgerald of Houston, TX; 7 grandchildren, Tara Brooke Fitzgerald, Brie Anne (Aaron) Lieto, Erica Rae Fitzgerald, John Patrick Fitzgerald, Taylor Fitzgerald Canfield, Jordan Fitzgerald Canfield, and Siobhan Nozomi Fitzgerald; brother, Major Moore; many nieces and nephews and other extended family along with many wonderful longtime friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Edward Fitzgerald, and her sister, Betty J. Walker. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2009 at Central United Methodist Church, 215 N. Capital, Lansing, MI 48933 with the Rev. Joseph D. Huston officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan or Central United Methodist Church.
