When I moved to Abbott Parkside Senior Apartments, Rita was one of the people that made me feel so welcome! She always had a smile & a kind word for everyone! I was glad I was able to visit her at rehab before the “lockdown”. After that we had a lot of nice phone visits. I sure do miss her!!

The Hartner family sends our thoughts, prayers, and remembrances to the Brink family who we have known for many, many years. Rita was such a friendly, lovely lady who we will miss as well as Tony (who played the organ for many of our children's weddings) and were fixtures at St. Therese. Our daughter Kim is a school friend of David and also sends her prayers.

Your Mom, our Aunt Rita, Will Be Remembered, Cherished and Loved. May she rest in peace with her Husband (Uncle Tony) and her sibling, and friends as she leaves us and joins them. We know that Jesus will wrap his loving, welcoming arms around her and he will lift and carry you through this time. Our hearts and prayers will be with you this day and beyond this day as your hearts ache the loss. Love you all my Cousin's and although I can not be with you today I will be with you in spirit. HUGS & KISSES

To Bernie and your family,
You were so kind to show up for my mother's funeral and now I am so sorry that you have lost your mother too. The Lawrence clan extends their deepest sympathy and hopes you can remember the good moments that came before your loss. Mothers are the heart and soul of a family and I know their absence can leave a big hole. Our prayers are with you.

When I was in 3rd grade at St. Thomas Aquinas ,Mrs. Brink would read a chapter of the kids mystery series , " The Happy Hollisters " ( only if the class was good that day , of course ) What a great way to get us to behave. My classmates and I really really enjoyed this

Rita was a blessing to all who were lucky to know her! If not for Rita and her beloved Tony (we miss him so much!!), our family would not have David and the wonderful life he has given to his children, and my sister Amy. The real bonus to all of us was the instant growth - and embrace - by Rita and the whole Brink family, into ours. Rita expanded "our" family reach from Michigan, to Virginia, to Canada, and everywhere in between. Rita was especially precious to me, and was my Scorpio birthday sister (ours were just one day apart!) and we often laughed at how this connected us is a very particular way. I love, will miss, and fondly remember Rita's many kindnesses, visits, endearments, and laughter - and will cherish that she was a part of our lives. Minute in stature, but a BIG and adored force, was Rita! Much love, and God bless you always, Rita. XOXO - Mo, Scott, Colin & Aidan Riehl
