Benjamin Mullinix Obituary

Ben Mullinix Jr. LUBBOCK-Benjamin Grayson Mullinix, Jr. passed away at the age of 72. He was a resident of Lubbock, Texas. He was born on Aug. 8, 1942, in Manhattan, Kansas, the son of Ben and Eleanor (Blockcolsky) Mullinix. Ben received a Masters in Statistics at Oklahoma State University. He retired from a full-time position at the University of Georgia and was currently working part-time for the University of Texas A&M at their Agricultural Research Station in Lubbock. Ben was a long-time member of the Toastmasters and supporter of several charitable institutions. Ben is survived in death by one brother, Chris Mullinix of Manhattan, KS; four nieces and nephews, and seven great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Ben and Eleanor Mullinix; and sisters, Dorothy Hensley and Mary Lamoureux. A graveside service will be held at Randolph/Fancy Creek Cemetery, near Randolph, KS, on Saturday, March 28th, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. The service will be performed by Rev. Duerfeldt. Mr. Mullinix was a professional acquaintance of mine. He was such a kind and intelligent man and I was saddened to hear of his passing. Prayers and thoughts for his friends and family during this time of loss.
