Dr. Anthony J. Koury

Dr. Anthony J. Koury of Quincy died Wednesday, April 27 at Boston Medical Center. He was 75 years old. He was the beloved husband of Ethel Claire (Cairns) Koury for 53 years. Born in Boston on Sept. 16, 1935, he was the loving son of the late Magid and Josephine (Yarid) Koury. He was a graduate of Quincy High School and was advanced to college as a Junior. He was a graduate of Eastern Nazarene College and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Mr. Koury served in the United States National Guard. He was the owner of Koury Family Dental in Quincy for over forty years where he enjoyed the strong relationships with his patients and welcomed all with a smile. He truly enjoyed having cookouts and entertaining his family and friends at his cottage in Plymouth. Dr. Koury was the loving father of Suzanne Clifford of Hanover, Sharon Racette of Quincy, Anthony Koury Jr. of Plymouth and Jennifer McClory of Hanover. He was the cherished grandfather of seven, and the dear brother of Helen Koury, Philip Koury and the late James Koury. Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin St., Quincy on Monday, May 2 at 9 a.m. Followed by a funeral Mass at St. Johns Church, 44 School St., Quincy at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
