Bryan DeMoss Obituary

Bryan DeMoss LUBBOCK-Bryan DeMoss passed away Monday, March 13, 2017. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 35 years today, March 16, 2017, at 11 a.m. at First Assembly of God. A tribute of Bryan's life may be found at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for his family. Bryan DeMoss was born in Shamrock, Texas, in 1981. He grew up in Canadian and graduated from Perryton High School in 1999, where he played trumpet in the school band, basketball and was a cross country runner for the track team. He was a member of the National Honor Society and Who's Who among American High School Students, in several categories. He moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University where he played in the Marching Band from Raider Land and studied Construction Engineering and Math. His love for math and building led him to work as a commercial construction project manager and partner with AFI Construction. He loved living in Lubbock and was a huge Texas Tech sports fan. Bryan was a family man and loving father, he always referred to Shyenne and Brooks as his world. His love for friends and family is something that he will be remembered for; that and the bromances he had with his closest friends. Bryan had a larger than life personality and was always the life of the party. Always the entertainer, one of his favorite things to do was host Tech tailgate parties at his home and grill for his friends and family. Bryan, in his most recent years became a passionate high school baseball umpire. He had a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor; his zest for life and spontaneous spirit are two of the qualities that drew everyone to him. Although he was a clown most of the time, Bryan was a class act with a generous heart; he would help anyone at the drop of a hat. His love, generosity and respect for others was learned from two very loving parents who raised him and his brother to be amazing men. He seldom went anywhere or met anyone without leaving a positive impression. Survivors include his wife, Shyenne DeMoss; son, Brooks DeMoss; parents, Brett and Lynette DeMoss; paternal grandfather, Rodney DeMoss; maternal grandfather, Richard Gaines; father and mother-in-law, Steve and Suzie McAnally; brother, Zachary DeMoss; sister-in-law, Shaunci Pettyjohn and husband, Chris; brother-in-law, Britt McAnally and wife, Ali; two nieces, Kinlee, and Madalyn Pettyjohn; and nephew, Gage McAnally. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Barbara DeMoss; maternal grandmother, Dixie Gaines; and uncle, Kent Gaines. Memorial contributions are welcome and the family suggests, American Cancer Society, ACS Lubbock Hope Lodge, 3511 10th St., Lubbock, TX 79415, https://donate3.cancer.org/?campaign=hl08lubtx.
