Lubbock - A celebration of the life of Charlene McDonald, 65, of Lubbock, Texas will be 10:30 AM Friday, February 12, 2021 at South Side Church of Christ with Tommy Hicks and Anthony Flunder officiating. Graveside services will follow in Wilson Cemetery at 2 PM. Viewing will be come and go from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Sanders Funeral Home. Charlene passed away February 10, 2021.
Charlene was born January 15, 1956 in Pecos, TX to Ward Franklin and Marthellen Glaze Franklin. Sharing time with family was one of the most important things to Charlene. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sharing her love of cooking with others. She was the office manager for the family business. She enjoyed making jokes at her family's expense. She enjoyed traveling and seeing and trying new things. The family will enjoy the crocheted blankets and sweaters that were provided for them by her loving hands.
Loved ones include husband Johnny McDonald; daughter Andra Slater and husband Brian; son David McDonald and wife Robin; and daughter Jinnifer Duncan and husband Trey; 8 cherished granddaughters; and 4 sisters.
Preceded in death by Herbert Franklin (Father), Martha Franklin (Mother).
In lieu of flowers memorials are asked to be directed to Southside Church of Christ 8501 Quaker Ave. Lubbock, TX 79424.
