Edna Stice Obituary

Edna Faye Stice TAHOKA- Edna Faye Stice fought the good fight and finished her battle on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the age of 75. She was born July 6, 1937 in Quemado, New Mexico to Joe and Hetie Reeser. After graduating from Clayton High School in 1955, she moved to Tahoka where she met and married the love of her life, Billy Dale Stice on September 8, 1956. Faye loved being a homemaker and mom. She was active in 4H as a child and later with her children. She worked as a telephone operator, an Avon Lady, retail sales clerk and ran Bill's Barbeque with her husband. Faye was also a breast cancer survivor. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Barbara Stice and Sandra Norwood and husband Byron, all of Tahoka; two sons, Curtis Stice and J.P. Stice and wife Miranda, all of Tahoka; one sister, Louise Hines; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Faye was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy; five brothers, Irvin, J.W., Chester, Billy and Wayne Reeser; and one sister, Nellie Vandiver. Viewing begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Combest Family Funeral Homes. Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Sweet Street Baptist Church with interment to follow at Nevels Memorial Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Margaret Wiseman Scholarship at First National Bank of Tahoka or Odyssey Hospice.
