James L. Bob Kidd SEMINOLE- James L. Bob Kidd went to be with his Lord and Savior early Wednesday morning, June 5, 2013. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Seminole, Texas. Services are under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole. Bob was born April 25, 1925 to M.C. and Susie Kidd in Lamesa, Texas. Bob served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, flying more than 40 missions over Europe as a gunner. He owned and operated Kidd's Body & Glass Shop in Seminole until his retirement. Bob and Shirley Richardson Warlick married May 27, 1983. They enjoyed many years of fun travels and happiness. Bob loved to fish, and his family and friends have numerous stories about his fishing expeditions. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Cynthe D. McNair; stepson Michael Warlick; brothers, Alfred, Johnny, and Bill Kidd; and sister, Velma Ruth Love. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley; his daughters, Elaine McNair and Sandra Spencer of Lubbock, Texas; and stepdaughter, Terri Warlick Medlock of Brownwood, Texas; sons, Stephen Kidd of Sterling City, Texas and Philip Kidd of Lamesa, Texas; brothers, Marvin, Jack and Vernon Kidd of Lamesa, Texas; grandchildren, Dr. Chantal McNair, Michael Spencer, Chris Spencer, Jordan Kidd and Alex Kidd; step-grandchildren, Myka Warlick, Jonathan Warlick, Amy Medlock Seymour, and Peter Medlock; and 11 great-grandchildren.
